Your guide was Hilirous Heather. We have been travelling for nearly 100 days now and have done all sorts of guide – no one compares to Heather though. Heather treats you like a friend, makes you laugh all the time, is so passionate about her job and her country and to top it off Heather is lovely. We had the best time on her trip and would highly recommend Heather and wild and scotland. We also liked the fact that they are open about where your money goes and it is a lot cheaper than other tour companies we explored. Hope this helps. ej and joel from nz

I just wanted to give you some feedback on the recent tour I took to the Orkney Islands in May/June.
It was the highlight of my 4 week trip in England & Scotland. I wish I had done the 9 day! …Next visit.
The group had a wide range of age/nationalities but like all travelling groups, everyone got along very well. ( I am in my fourties and there were people older than me as well as people in their early 20’s) . The scenery was spectacular, the driving and guide, Bruce, was amazing. I learned so much about Scotland in general in addition to the very important history.
We all picked the food that we cooked and mostly it turned out great. I would do a trip again in a heartbeat! Thank you for the experience.

5 Day Orkney Tour Questions

Hello folks!
I recently had a WONDERFUL tour with Martin exploring the Highlands and Orkney. It was exceptional, free flowing, great company and Martin’s experience and route was spectacular to say the least. My brother and I deeply enjoyed the trip and can’t wait to come back and see even more.
Is it possible to get Martin’s five day itinerary? A listing of the places we visited and major cities so I can retrace our trip in my journal and not misspell everything (even just the big spots along the way). I know we visited a lot of places not listed on the normal five day Orkney tour and we saw so much that it’s hard to keep everything straight!
Thanks kindly,
David N. Berger.

P.S. Martin was an excellent guide for us. We really enjoyed his tour. Please forward our thanks to him.

Hi,
I am writing to thank you for the amazing 5 day tour around Scotland and Orkney, from 23rd to 27 May. Our tour guide James was fantastic, incredibly well informed on the history of Scotland, and also a great story teller. He was friendly and professional, well organised and really made the tour one of the best trips that I have ever been on. Give the man a pay-rise as he is brilliant.
I will definitely be recommending your tours to my friends.
Thanks again,
Ngaire Wallace

Hi,
I just wanted you to know that I have returned to the US after taking your 5 day Orkney & Highlands tour on June 6th 2009. I had an absolutely wonderful time – due in large part to the efforts of our guides Kath and Colin. I felt like I was traveling with two good friends, rather than just guides. Their sense of humor, knowledge and passion of Scotland was remarkable. Our official welcoming to the highlands was very special and fun and I have the pictures to prove it! I will certainly forward some when I get them a little more organized.
When Colin switched tours after the first day, we all felt as if we were leaving a mate behind. I am sure his new tour benefited from him, but hey – we missed you! By the way Colin, here is the link: http://www.suncountry.com/SCA/index.jsf
Let me know if you decide to come to the US!
Kath was just wonderful. He ability to keep the tour on track and keep all of us entertained, happy, and having a good time was incredible. I particularly loved the little stories and legends she told us as we traveled. We noticed, even though she never said anything that she would give up the nicer lodgings that should have been hers to facilitate other tour members.
Kath and Colin, you made my Scottish trip of a lifetime exactly that. Thank you so much. In addition to the other 14 people on the tour, I feel like your were very good friends too, and I would heartily recommend Wild In Scotland to any friends considering a trip like that. I still need to tour the Hebrides. Maybe next year?
Best regards,
Tom Smith
