Hello
I’m Rebekka holder and I’ve just come back from the monster tour. I just wanted to say thank you for the great time I had. It is just an awesome concept of travelling (the social aspect of it with the cooking and stuff, the interesting stories, jokes and historical facts told by both of the drivers, the adventures, the landscape and so on). I absolutely loved it!
Unfortunately I didn’t get to say goodbye to our second driver Bruce (I don’t know his last name). Since I don’t have his email address, could you please forward this onto him? I’d be very grateful.
Hey Bruce,
Sorry we didn’t say goodbye. We were picked up by our friends as you were still gone. I just wanted to say “hi!” real quick and thank you for the great time we had with you. I really appreciated you knowing so much about the history of Scotland and the different places we went to. It really made me feel that I got to know Scotland, even just in these couple of days. Oh, and you are a great story teller! I hope we didn’t bother you to much with asking for more stories (hehe). They were just to much fun. I can say that this was probably one of my best vacations. I won’t forget it (and for sure it made me want to go back to Scotland). Thanks to wild in Scotland, yourself and Danny.
So thanks again and take care
Rebekka Hodler (in case you don’t remember. . swiss girl, ginger hair, don’t like to wear hats but looooove stories!).

Dear WiS Folks,
I’m now back in the states and i have unfortunately settled into my daily work routine. But I wanted to take a moment to express what a wonderful and exciting time I had on both the 9 Day Island Hopper tour with Colin and Bruce and the 2Day Loch Ness and Highlands tour with Bruce and Danny. All three gentleman were top notch and I’d travel with any and all of them in the future. Why two tours? The first was a birthday present to myself to fill out the majority of my homecoming 2009 trip. And the second was to make sure my brothers who joined me later in the trip, got a chance to see as much of the country as possible on their shortened schedule.
Every day of both tours was about as packed with history, lore, landscapes and good will as could be asked for. People have been asking me what the best part was and I’m honestly unable to come up with any point where one moment superseded any other. I’m partial to hiking through The Quiraing during a storm but that may just be because those are the photos that I’m currently editing. I’ve already recommended WiS to two groups of friends who will be in Scotland over the next few months. In particular, I’d like to commend Colin and his leadership during the first half of the 9 Day tour. Keeping a van load of outgoing and opinionated individuals going in roughly the same direction 24 hours a day is an amazing feat. I lead much smaller groups on day and overnight hikes into Adirondack and Catskill Mountains and really appreciated Colin’s handling of both the mundane and the extraordinary aspects of the trip, especially when one of our members became seriously ill. He’s a great asset to WiS and hope he’ll be available when my friends book their tours.
Thank you again for providing such a wonderful experience.

Hi,
I would just like to take the time to feed back on my experiences of Scotland…I t is an amazing country with an incredible history. Both guides …danny and jamie had very good history information and the design of the trip was brilliantly designed to complete a cirle of historic events……Jamie was one of the best guides i have had in 10 years of traverlling with a variety of companies and if it were my company he would be my guide trainer…. His mannerism and thoughtfullness of each and evry passenger is highly co mendable. His driving was executed to passenger comfort…and safety was always of upmost importance….Only recommendtion tha ti have is thqt he briefly meets the 9 dcay pax and gives the a brief run down of the days activities upon joining and perhaps invites them for breakfast….the kitty on his part of the trip was a hugh diffence with enough money to go out for dinner on th elast night and as well have (pounds)8.20 remaining and the food we had and the quantities was equal to if not more thqan the first 5 days.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danny for the first 2 days was also brilliant and then something happened, he got extemely streessed …he was worried that people were not having a good time but they certainly were, he appeared to not be real sure about how may nights we were staying and we seemed to go around the island of lewis a few times with a lot of back tracking. the upcoming visit of his girlfriend saw him off with the fairies, especially the last couple of days….from the itinery i believed that we would be visiting the harris weaving as part of our trip not having to pay more for it…2.40pounds is not much ( $ NZ6) which all adds up…for dinner on night 5 he asked what we wanted to cook or go out…i think he could have better advised us as in stornoway ther ewas a lot more food options to do our own thing as opposed to our 5th night stay…very limited and by the time we got in some places had closed….lot of people not happy about it…..we got back 5.50pounds but incomparison for what we did and ate it is a hugh differnce to the last 4 dsays….He didn’t tell us about the lock ness or that Urqurt castle was visitable at night, even though i had a ripped achilles tendons i would have like to have the information… thanks to the efforts trying to get acupuncture….
I am glad the tour went they way it did, i would have been dissappointing for the it to have been the rev ersal…..Danny could perhaps slow down as we were getting flung around..and not because of the bumping road that we were on..just more comfortable….
As a driver/guide of 8 years, in various countries and styles of tours i know that with out feed back nothing will change…. Danny has a lot of potential and i hope that in the future his mind is on the job and not the flight arrivaling at the end of it…
I have a enjoyed the variety of what you have been able to cram into 9 days and was happy that we had a few days of scottish weather….
thsnk you
regards sue corbett

To whom it may concern,
I recently had the pleasure of going on the 9 day Island Hopper Tour.
I just wanted to let you know of our wonderful experience from accommodation, food, guides (Jamie & Simon) and general tour route taken, it was amazing, we saw a lot more than we thought we would and both guides know their stuff,we also had a couple of Guides in training Martin and Colin, both were pleasant and knowledgeable. We would recommend Wild in Scotland to friends and family
Thank you for an awesome experience
