Recharged and grateful
August 3rd, 2011 Submitted by: Beck Norman I want to thank the WIS crew for an amazing time. I traveled on the 10 day tour the first week(s) of July this year. This was my second time in Scotland (my first having run into a WIS tour on Lewis 3 years ago, thus deciding to go with you this time). When traveling there is a need of balance of Fun times, quiet times and mind altering times. WIS does the job of bringing this all together. I prefer not to call myself a tourist when I travel. I prefer to say that I go on pilgrimages to recharge my life and get back to what life is truly about. Between the fun times with other tour goers to in depth conversations about culture with the guides (Thank You Bruce and Jamie) to quiet cliff walks and live music and pints in the pub, I feel very blessed to have had this experience. I hope to travel back next year in the off season to join the Islay tour in February. Warm Regards (PS any suggestions that you may have on how to get a hold of folks from the second half 6 day Orkney tour 11july through 14july would be appreciated. I have photos that I would like to give folks.)

Take a Bow Guys … You Deserve It!
December 8th, 2010 Submitted by: Firoz Bharucha I did the 9 day Island Whopper beginning 18th May 2010. Danny was our guide for the first part of our trip and we were already cracking up before we got out of the City. Danny’s sun dance could put an Indian to shame. The tour took us to places which would generally be very difficult to access and the drive on Glengarry road was particularly hilarious! P.S. Danny plays the acoustic guitar very well and Ewan the air guitar – make sure you get you fill!!

January 14th, 2010 Submitted by: Sandor Dear WiS Folks, I’m now back in the states and i have unfortunately settled into my daily work routine. But I wanted to take a moment to express what a wonderful and exciting time I had on both the 9 Day Island Hopper tour with Colin and Bruce and the 2Day Loch Ness and Highlands tour with Bruce and Danny. All three gentleman were top notch and I’d travel with any and all of them in the future. Why two tours? The first was a birthday present to myself to fill out the majority of my homecoming 2009 trip. And the second was to make sure my brothers who joined me later in the trip, got a chance to see as much of the country as possible on their shortened schedule. Every day of both tours was about as packed with history, lore, landscapes and good will as could be asked for. People have been asking me what the best part was and I’m honestly unable to come up with any point where one moment superseded any other. I’m partial to hiking through The Quiraing during a storm but that may just be because those are the photos that I’m currently editing. I’ve already recommended WiS to two groups of friends who will be in Scotland over the next few months. In particular, I’d like to commend Colin and his leadership during the first half of the 9 Day tour. Keeping a van load of outgoing and opinionated individuals going in roughly the same direction 24 hours a day is an amazing feat. I lead much smaller groups on day and overnight hikes into Adirondack and Catskill Mountains and really appreciated Colin’s handling of both the mundane and the extraordinary aspects of the trip, especially when one of our members became seriously ill. He’s a great asset to WiS and hope he’ll be available when my friends book their tours. Thank you again for providing such a wonderful experience. Sandor

I just wanted to let you know of our wonderful experience from accommodation, food, guides (Jamie & Simon) and general tour route taken, it was amazing, we saw a lot more than we thought we would and both guides know their stuff,we also had a couple of Guides in training Martin and Colin, both were pleasant and knowledgeable. We would recommend Wild in Scotland to friends and family Thank you for an awesome experience Mark & Joanne
